With the European association of synthetic biology students and post-docs (EUSynBioS), of which I’m the Communications Officer, we recently organized a synthetic biology symposium in Toulouse, France. Centered on the issues of establishing a bioeconomy and how synthetic biology can contribute to this issue, we had a very successful and productive conference. In this post for the PLOS Synbio Community blog, another steering committee member of EUSynBioS as well as a member of the co-organizers from BioSynSys and myself give an account of the meeting.
