I regularly review books for The Biologist, a publication from the Royal Society of Biology in the UK. This month my two most recent book reviews came out, which I wanted to share here as well.
1) Making Eden: How Plants Transformed a Barren Planet (David Beerling)
This very detailed book describes the colonization of our planet by plants, mostly in historic times but with some chapters with regard to the future, especially considering climate change. Read my short review here.
2) The Making of You: A Journey from Cell to Human (Katharina Vestre)
A fascinating journey through every stage of pregnancies, with wonderful asides about animal oddities and a dramatic talent for witty storytelling displayed by the author. Read my short review here.
